From October 28 to November 3, 2026, in conjunction with TIFFCOM 2026, Filmination will host a special online showcase of Japanese films for international buyers.
TIFFCOM, held alongside the Tokyo International Film Festival, is one of Asia's leading content markets, bringing together film, TV and anime rights holders and buyers from around the world. While TIFFCOM runs October 28–30 in Tokyo, our online showcase stays open for a full week.
Buyers can efficiently discover a diverse range of Japanese films online, watch screeners, and easily request quotations directly through Filmination.
This special showcase will feature Japanese films and anime seeking international opportunities, including titles with strong potential in the global market.
Our featured title, A Distant Neighborhood, is based on the popular manga by renowned Japanese manga artist Jiro Taniguchi. The film brings to the screen the work of Taniguchi, whose manga has received wide international acclaim.
Also featured is Loveeez, a TV anime series from Nippon Television that began airing in April 2026. With 90 one-minute episodes planned, its short-form format is easy to program across TV, streaming and digital platforms.
We are also pleased to present RAINY BLUE. The film was produced in Tamana City and Gyokuto Town in Kumamoto Prefecture, an area that suffered damage from a magnitude 7.1 earthquake. Tamana City is also the hometown of Chishū Ryū, one of Japan's most celebrated actors, internationally known for his many appearances in the films of director Yasujirō Ozu.
Whether you are attending TIFFCOM in Tokyo or exploring the market online, we invite you to discover your next Japanese acquisition through Filmination.
