A highly acclaimed movie Gift of Fire, played by Yuya Yagira, Kasumi Arimura and Haruma Miura, was aired for the first time on a North American channel
FILMINATION, Japan's first and only service (*1) to provide an online market specializing in Japanese films and videos for overseas movie lovers, announced that the highly acclaimed Japanese film Gift of Fire, one of the latest films they offered on the platform, has been broadcasted on TV JAPAN, the only channel in North America that broadcasts Japanese TV programs 24 hours a day.

Directed and written by Hiroshi Kurosaki, an acclaimed director of many high-profile films including Reach Beyond the Blue Sky, Gift of Fire is a coming-of-age film based on the historical events of the end of the World War II, tells the story of three young adults who lived their lives to the fullest while being at the mercy of the times.
Carefully developed for 10 years by Kurosaki, this project was deeply sympathesized by Yuya Yagira, Kasumi Arimura, Haruma Miura, Yuko Tanaka, Jun Kunimura, Issey Ogata, Shinya Yamamoto, and Peter Stormare who played the key roles of this film with emotionally intense performances. Over time, it became a big joint project with Japan and the U.S., with music composed by Nico Muhly, a composer and pianist known from the award winning film The Reader and sound edited by Matt Vowles, renowned for his work as a sound supervisor and re-recording mixer of A Star Is Born. As soon as the film was released in 2021, it received high ratings from movie fans on numerous movie review sites, acclaimed as "a movie by movie lovers, for movie lovers."
After the broadcast on TV JAPAN, it will be distributed until June 2023 on d library Japan, a video distribution service for North America that distributes popular Japanese programs.
