Revry is one of the world's largest VOD services dedicated to LGBTQ content, offering a carefully curated selection of creative and unique content ranging from films and drama series to podcasts and music. Reflecting the founders' own notions of the LGBTQ community in their business is a key driver, as is promoting content that includes racial and ethnic diversity.

Currently available on Revry, “Spring like lovers” is a graduation film from the Nihon University of Arts and Sciences directed by Daisuke Shigaya about a male couple who love each other but cross paths, and won the Entertainment Award (Horipro Award) at the Pia Film Festival Awards 2017 (39th edition).

Other films include “No Gender! The queer life of an intersex manga artist” by Shogo Watanabe, “ITECHO” by Yukio Tanaka, “Coming Out” and “akagire” by Kazutoshi Inudo, and “Our Future” by Kasho Iizuka are now available and will be available soon.

In the global VOD market, services specializing in "niche genres" such as indie films and films screened at film festivals are emerging, and this new trend is a tailwind for Japanese film companies and filmmakers with abundant film content to expand their business overseas.

A documentary about the interaction between a sexual minority cartoonist and his assistant, a young man. Invited to the Taiwan International Queer Film Festival.

“ITECHO” directed by Yukio Tanaka (available from May 28)

A documentary that captures the existence of people who deviate from common sense, such as sexual minorities, perversions, and fetishism.

“Coming Out” directed by KAZUTOSHI INUDO (available from May 28)

This is the story of a young gay man who decides to come out. The film stars Naoto Takahashi from "Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters", as well as Taiji Utagawa, Fumika Ichinose and Kosuke Akiyama (TooT Aki), who have actually come out in the media. The film was so popular that tickets were sold out at the advance screening at the 23rd Tokyo International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival.

“akagire” directed by KAZUTOSHI INUDO (available from May 28)

This is the third film by Kazutoshi Inudo, depicting the loneliness of a bisexual high school girl torn between male and female.

“Our Future” directed by Kasho Iizuka (available from May 21)

Based on the transgender director's own experiences, the film depicts the choices of a high school student struggling with being male at heart and female in body, and won the Special Jury Prize and Audience Award at the 2011Pia Film Festival Awards (33rd edition).
