FILMINATION

FILMINATION (Location: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Hiroaki Kanamaru; hereinafter " FILMINATION"), a distribution platform of Japanese films for global VOD companies, started delivering three Japanese films on GagaOOLala, a VOD service specializing in LGBTQ content from Taiwan.

GagaOOLala is a Taiwan-based VOD service specializing in LGBTQ-themed content, with approximately 280,000 members and more than 1,000 titles available. Since its launch in January 2017, GagaOOLala has been providing services in the Asian region, and with the support of the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), it will begin to expand its services worldwide in May 2020.

GagaOOLala will be distributing three films including "From the Bottom of the Vortex" directed by Kozue Nomoto, which won the Grand Prix at the 24th Lesbian and Gay Film Festival and the Eiga.com Award at the 10th Tanabe Benkei Film Festival.

In the overseas VOD market, services specializing in "niche genres" such as indie films and films screened at film festivals are emerging.
Filmination will continue to contribute to the development of the Japanese film industry by discovering attractive Japanese films and supporting their overseas expansion.
